Valerie Little is raising funds to present a recital of modern string chamber music works by living, female composers in August, 2018. Valerie writes, “female voices are underrepresented in classical music, as are the works of living composers. I have chosen works from diverse composers, including Jennifer Higdon, Hannah Lash, Caroline Shaw, Jessie Montgomery, and Missy Mazzoli. Your financial support would allow me to hire the musicians, including myself on viola, provide for their travel, rent a local venue in St Paul, MN, and purchase the music. I intend to livestream the concert for supporters who do not live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and we will facilitate a discussion afterwards for those in the room and online!”

Valerie is also a member of the Mill City String Quartet. Learn more about her here.
