Join author and lucid dream expert Robert Waggoner, composer Janika Vandervelde, and Zeitgeist percussionists Heather Barringer and Patti Cudd for a three-day event that will take you into the world of lucid dreaming.

Janika Vandervelde’s new work The Gates of Horn and Ivory uses live percussion and electronic soundscapes to travel through the various stages of sleep and ponder the meaning and origin of dreams, including the mysterious phenomenon known as lucid dreaming, where the dreamer becomes consciously aware in the dream.

“Two gates there are for unsubstantial dreams. One made of horn and one of ivory. The dreams that pass through the carved ivory delude us, bringing tales that turn to naught. Those that come forth through polished horn accomplish real things, whenever seen.”
—Homer, Book 19, The Odyssey
