The Schubert Club’s popular COURTROOM CONCERT SERIES, hosted by composer Abbie Betinis, opens its 23rd season of free weekly concerts on Thursday, October 17 at noon. This series features accomplished musicians and composers from the Twin Cities and nearby surrounding area, as well as occasional musical newcomers to the area.

Programs last approximately one hour. Complimentary coffee is served. These concerts are regularly filled to capacity, and seating is General Admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Full details

November 7: Concert features the world premiere of “From the Land of Song” (O Gwlad y Gan) for cello and piano, by David Evan Thomas.

November 14: Concert features the Lux String Quartet
Hear String Quartet No. 3, “Una corda” by David Evan Thomas and String Quartet in G minor by Claude Debussy

November 21: Concert features the Mill City String Quartet
Hear “Punctam” for String Quartet by Caroline Shaw and String Quartet No. 3 by Alfred Schnittke.

December 12: Concert features the Delphia Cello Quartet
Hear Baroque, Classical, and contemporary music arranged for four cellos by Julia Floberg.
