Nautilus Music-Theater Rough Cuts

November 19, 2019 @ 7:30 pm

Excerpts from two new works in progress:

In NORMAN!, writer DAVID SMITH and composer KELLY KREBS continue their darkly humorous exploration of the disturbing backstory of Norman Bates of PYSCHO fame — now for the first time onstage together, Norman and his mother, with Nautilus performers EVAN TYLER WILSON and JEN BURLEIGH-BENTZ, under the music direction of GEORGE MAURER!

Also: Excerpts from THE PARTS I ADMIRE, a new song cycle about the miscommunications that emerge when an introvert and an extrovert try to make a life together — words and electro-acoustic music by AARON GABRIEL, with vocalist KYMANI QUEEN, flutist JULIE JOHNSON, guitarist MIGUEL GONZALES, and music director JILL DAWE!

Nautilus’ monthly series of ROUGH CUTS presentations feature uncompromising vocal and theatrical talent in an intimate and informal setting. The program provides an unusual opportunity to sample professional quality music-theater for only $5 or pay-as-able — plus, we serve free cookies and milk!
