This musical reading of excerpts from HEBIONNA a new opera by ASAKO HIRABAYASHI re-imagines the classic Japanese legend of the Snake Woman, a moving tale of discrimination and redemption. It features Nautilus performers MOMOKO TANNO (soprano) and JOEL LIESTMAN (tenor), under the musical direction of LARA BOLTON!

Also: NEW SONGS BY GEORGE MAURER feature DANIEL GRECO (baritone) is joined by music director JILL DAWE for three new songs from composer GEORGE MAURER, setting poetic texts by TENNESSEE WILLIAMS, HART CRANE, and FRED J BERNS!

Nautilus’ monthly series of ROUGH CUTS presentations feature uncompromising vocal and theatrical talent in an intimate and informal setting. The program provides an unusual opportunity to sample professional quality music-theater for only $5 or pay-as-able — plus, we serve free cookies and milk!
