Minnesota Orchestra: Celebrating the Americas

August 1 @ 7:30 pm

$12 – $80

Featuring Argentine tango, Afro-Brazilian capoeira, Mexican huapango and contemporary works influenced by the spirit of salsa, bossa nova and rumba, Música Juntos (Music Together) is a jubilant festival that celebrates the musical gifts of Latin America, from past to present.

From gorgeously costumed and choreographed Folklórico dances to Gershwin’s iconic American in Paris, this concert is a kaleidoscope of sound and movement that unites cultures through the power of music. Plus, a joyful piece by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez (b. 1950) will have you dancing in the aisles.
