Melodic Intersect

Melodic Intersect brings together a diverse collection of musical styles and cultures – integrating rhythm and melody from genres such as Jazz, North Indian Classical, Rock, Eastern and Western Folk, and many more.

Hidayat Khan: A world renowned sitar player. He is continuing the legacy and style of his father and teacher Ustad Vilayat Khan with a lineage spanning seven generations of vocal and instrumental musicians.

Enayet Hossain: A versatile percussionist who comes from a family of musicians. Learning from the age of 5, he grew up surrounded with musical talents, as his father and grandfather were also renowned musicians.

Greg Hatza: An American jazz organist who has been playing professionally from age sixteen. He has taught jazz, piano composition, improvisation and music theory at Baltimore’s Towson State University for many years. He has also learned Indian classical music including the sitar and tabla.

Joy Islam: Guitar, Tushar Ahmed: Bass Guitar, Robb Lauer: Drums
