Gina Williams‘ piece Reverance will be premiered by Sinfonia East and Sinfonia West at GTCYS’ Spring Festival concerts at Orchestra Hall with Ms. Williams in attendance. An award-winning multi-genre performing artist, Gina Williams is a classically-trained composer with a master’s degree in piano performance. Also a songwriter, producer, and actress, Ms. Williams has worked alongside the likes of John Cusack, John Goodman, and recently Alex Graves (producer of Game of Thrones and The West Wing). Her songs are used in film and television, and her composition “Glory” was commissioned as the anthem for the country of Grenada’s 25th Anniversary of Independence.

Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS) transforms young musicians of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds by breaking down barriers to music instruction and providing exceptional year-round orchestral experiences. As one of the country’s leading youth orchestra programs, GTCYS serves more than 1,000 students ages 8-18 through nine academic-year orchestras, two summer programs, and Harmony violin instruction program.
