CrosSing Borders: Emerging Latinx Voices

May 19 @ 1:00 pm

FREE

Border CrosSing is pleased to present “CrosSing Borders: Emerging Latinx Voices”, the final program of the second season of Puentes, our series of concerts centered around Latinx stories and culture. In this program we will present choral works by emerging Latinx composers, each paired with a work by a Minnesota-based composer. This concert will feature the world premiere of “Four Choruses from Tienda” by Reinaldo Moya, a sneak peek of his upcoming opera, as well as the premiere of “Wind Waves”, a new work Border CrosSing commissioned from Mexican-French composer Valeria Jonard. This program will also include works by Nicolás Gutiérrez, Carol Barnett, Abbie Betinis, Linda Kachelmeier, Mari Esabel Valverde, and Leo Brouwer.

This concert is free, with no pre-concert talk, part of the “Sundays at the Landmark” series.
