When asked if he’s attempting to rewrite the rules on organ playing, Cameron Carpenter simply says, “Well no, because I’m not invested in the rules of organ playing.” A true original, Carpenter is bringing his immense talent and revolutionary interpretations to the Northrop stage. Cinematically symphonic, Winter Bells by contemporary composer Polina Nazaykinskaya was inspired by a visit to the Volga region of Russia, her homeland.
