TCGMC's spring concert includes the local premiere of “Seven Last Words of the Unarmed,” a 10 minute choral work in 7 movements by Atlanta composer Joel Thompson. Each movement is based on the final words of seven black men who died at the hands of our authority figures. A powerful, emotional piece for these challenging times, the work will be embraced by an equally inspirational songbook of music, from "My Shot" (Hamilton) and "Can You Hear the People Sing?" (Les Miserables) to Maya Angelou’s "From Dust I…
