The annual SEAMUS (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) conference presents a broad intersection of electro-acoustic music and art in small and large concert venues on campus, a downtown nightclub, and in guerrilla concerts. This year’s SEAMUS Award Winner, Carla Scaletti, will be at SCSU to receive the award and present a concert of her music, featuring Kyma, the sound design language she invented.
Registration for the conference entitles ticket holders to attend 14 concerts, three installations, and two paper and panel sessions over the course of three days. SCSU students, faculty, and staff have free access to the events on campus. Day passes can be purchased at the registration desk the day attending ($75/$40 students and seniors, cash or check only). Late Night concerts at The Nest above the Pickled Loon are free with conference registration, SCSU ID, or $3 General Admission.
